Getting your Cronus Zen working on PS5 isn't always straightforward. If your scripts aren't firing, chances are your setup isn't quite right. This guide walks you through the exact process shown in the official tutorial — step by step, in plain English — so you can get back in the game fast.
Looking for scripts to run once you're connected? Check out the best Cronus Zen scripts at yew.gg.
Before you start
Before you plug in, make sure there are no scripts showing on the Cronus Zen screen. If a script is active during this process, the bypass may not work correctly.
You'll need to repeat this connection process every single time you start a gaming session. It isn't a one-time fix — the bypass must be performed fresh each time you boot up.
Required PS5 Settings
Scripts still not working after following the steps? Double-check that Bluetooth is set to Turn Off (not just disabled temporarily) and that Communication Method is explicitly set to Use USB Cable — both settings must be correct together.
Cronus Zen isn't powering on during the process? The USB cable needs to be fully seated in the port. If it's only hovering at the port (as shown in the video before the final plug), it won't power the device until you push it in during step 9.
PS5 isn't registering the button clicks? Make sure you're holding Right on the D-pad before you plug in — not after. Timing matters here.
Controller disconnecting immediately after setup? Confirm your controller is physically plugged into the left-side top port of the Cronus Zen. A loose or incorrect cable connection will drop the controller signal.
Do I need to do this bypass every time I play on PS5? Yes. As explained in the video, this is not a permanent fix — you need to repeat the full connection process every single time you start a session on PS5.
Does it matter whether I use the front or back USB port on the PS5? No. The video confirms that either port works fine. Use whichever is easiest to reach given how your setup is arranged.
What happens if I leave a script loaded on the Cronus Zen before connecting? The guide specifically says to make sure no scripts are showing on the screen before you plug in. Having a script active during the bypass can prevent it from working correctly.
Where can I find good scripts to use once I'm connected? You can browse a library of Cronus Zen scripts at yewscripts.com — compatible with the PS5 setup described in this guide.
